What’s the difference between proofreading and editing?

Proofreading catches errors — spelling, punctuation, agreement, typos. Editing goes further: clarity, flow, repetition, sentence structure and consistent terminology. Tell us which you want, or send the draft and we’ll recommend the lighter option if that’s all it needs.

Will it still sound like me?

Yes. Everything arrives as tracked suggestions you accept or reject one at a time, so nothing changes unless you agree to it. If an edit goes further than you wanted, reject it and tell us — we’ll ease off for the rest.

Will you fix my referencing too?

Basic consistency, yes. If the reference list needs real work that’s formatting and referencing help — often worth adding, and we’ll quote both together.

What if I disagree with an edit?
