Refund policy

If we're late, wrong, or can't do it, you get your money back. If you got what we agreed and didn't like the grade, you don't.

Last updated 6 August 2026

The short version

  • Haven’t started yet? Full refund, no questions.
  • We delivered late? Full refund.
  • We delivered something other than what we agreed? Revision first, then a refund if that doesn’t fix it.
  • You got what we agreed but the mark disappointed you? Not refundable — we never promised a grade.

1. Before work starts

Cancel before your tutor or editor begins and you get a full refund. If you’ve paid for a tutoring session, cancelling more than 12 hours before the slot is a full refund.

2. After work starts

Once work is under way we can refund the portion not yet carried out. We will tell you honestly how far along the order is; where it’s genuinely unclear, we’ll resolve it in your favour.

3. Late delivery

If we miss the agreed deadline and you no longer need the work, you get a full refund. If you still want it, we’ll deliver and refund the difference between what you paid and the price for the slower turnaround you effectively received.

Deadlines are measured from cleared payment and receipt of everything we need from you. If we’re waiting on you, that time doesn’t count against us.

4. Not what we agreed

If the delivered work doesn’t match the scope in your quote, tell us within 7 days of delivery. We’ll put it right under the included revision. If the revision still doesn’t deliver what was agreed, you get a full refund.

5. Revisions

One round of revisions is included in every order, requested within 7 days of delivery and within the original scope. Requests that add scope — a new chapter, a different referencing style, a second draft you wrote afterwards — are new orders, quoted separately.

6. What isn’t refundable

  • The grade you received. We help you improve work and understanding; we don’t promise marks, and no honest provider does.
  • Sessions you didn’t attend. If you don’t show up and don’t tell us at least 12 hours ahead, the session is charged. Tell us you’re running late and we’ll wait.
  • Work completed to scope. Changing your mind after delivery isn’t a defect.
  • Orders cancelled for breach of our terms. Where we cancel because these terms of service have been breached, we may keep payment for work already carried out.
  • Digital study resources once downloaded, unless the file is faulty or not as described.

7. How to ask for a refund

Message us on the order, or email support@markready.co.uk with your order reference and what went wrong. We’ll respond within two working days and, where a refund is due, issue it within five working days to the original payment method. Your bank may take a few days longer to show it.

8. Chargebacks

Please talk to us before raising a chargeback — it’s slower for you than asking us directly, and we keep full records of briefs, messages and delivery times that we would have to submit in response. We’d much rather just sort it out.

9. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits the rights you have as a consumer under the law of your country, including any right to cancel a distance contract within a cooling-off period. Where those rights give you more than this policy does, they win.
